In this book, we get a detailed insight into his life, his motivations and into his dedication to that one person for whom he has been searching for years and is willing to destroy everything. Shrouded in mystery, Kaleb’s story is one I had been waiting to read for a long time. His sudden rise to power in the Psy Council has made people suspicious and inquisitive but not much is known about his past.
His motivations, inclinations, and thoughts are all his own with no one privy to anything about him except what he chooses to show. Kaleb is an enigma, a man feared by everyone who comes across his ruthless strength. While the previous books in this series can be read as standalone, you have to have read the past books to truly understand and appreciate this book. Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh is the story of Psy Councillor Kaleb Krycheck, “Cardinal telekinetic and a man no one wanted to meet alone on a dark night…”. It all started with “Slave to Sensation”, the first book in this series and I haven’t looked back since. This series is a gem that will make you a fan even if you aren’t a fan of the paranormal genre like me. I am so glad that I take chances while picking up books to read. Ready to prove them wrong, I never expected this series to become such a favourite of mine. I literally took a chance with this series after so many of my book lover friends raved about it. Oh Wow! I don’t have words enough to emphasize my love for Heart of Obsidian by Nalini Singh as well as the “Psy-Changeling series”.
